Droogs

The Droogs were a seminal neo-garage/punk combo outta Los Angeles in the early '70s. They were one of the first '70s bands to look back to '60s garage legends like The Sonics and Shadows Of Knight for inspiration, and their mid-'70s series of DIY 7"ers are considered to be among the earliest examples of proto-punk in LA. This caricature was published along with a career-spanning retrospective article on the band in the one and only issue of my buddy Alan's cool punk mag Do The Pop! The band liked it well enough to reprint it in the insert of their Atomic Garage CD, which I believe was their last ever release. Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!
