One of my few published paintings, this piece was done in 2002 for the Sci-Fi Western art show which was curated by Miss Sunny Buick and took place in San Francisco in early 2003. My original idea for a submission to this show didn't work out so I had to bash this thing out in a real big hurry but it's kinda fun. This painting appeared in the cool art book featuring work from the show which was published by venerable undergrounders Last Gasp, quite a thrill for this longtime salivatin' fan of Skull Comix. This piece led to another interesting art gig which I will tell you about in tomorrow's post if we all make it that far. Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!
