Surf Party Tonight!
Or sometime in November anyway... Poster for an upcoming surf/garage fest in our nation's capital. If you're one of those soulless government bureaucrats bent on destroying everything good about our society or just a regular human, you should go to this if you're in the Ottawa area. I don't fit into either of those categories so ya won't see me there but my old pal Pat put this show together and he's a cat who knows his rock'n'roll so it's sure to be a blast! Stay tuned for MORE SURFIN' IS THE ONLY LIFE, THE ONLY WAY FOR ME ACTION!

Crowe A-Go-Go
Here's the first of 2 pages I did for the new issue of Nix Comics Quarterly which is due out soon. Continuing the adventures of incarcerated shock rocker/serial murderer Aleister Crowe, this page is the intro to another story written by Ken Eppstein (as was the above page) and drawn by Rich Trask, with another Crowe page at the end wrapping up this vignette. I gotta say that everything I've seen from this upcoming issue (which is #8 in the series) looks great and makes me real proud to be associated with this fine as wine funnybook. Check out the Nix website for more info or to order a copy. Stay tuned for MORE PSYCHO SINGER/SONGWRITER ACTION!

Route 66
Here's the poster for the third Transistor 66 Records Rock'n'Roll Weekender, Winnipeg's best showcase for rockin' bands and fun. I'm proud to have done posters for all 3 of these shows; you can find the earlier ones if you dig around the archives of this blog a bit. This poster was kinda inspired by some '60s issues of CARtoons magazine that I have in my vast random collection of junk. Those old CARtoons have some real nice comics in 'em that haven't really been discovered by the fanboys yet. Anyway, there are a couple of versions of this poster; the one above was made for street postering and the one below is gonna be a limited silkscreen version, signed and numbered and all that. I designed it to make a matched set with the poster from the first T66 Weekender so ya gotta buy 'em both to be hip. Stay tuned for MORE NITRO-BURNING ACTION!

Zombies On A Train
Here's a poster I made for some folks who are trying to sell a horror movie script. Kind of a rare treat for me to do a straightforward horror piece without even a hint of humor in it. Here's hoping we'll get to see the finished movie someday. Lots of new stuff in the works right now so watch for more posts soon and... Stay tuned for MORE UNDEAD ACTION!

Meat Treat
Another new poster for the CD release show of my fave local band, M&M Meats! If you like rock'n'roll and are north of the 49th Parallel this Saturday, GO TO THIS SHOW! These kids are writing classic hits you don't wanna miss. Stay tuned for MORE MOIST'N'MEATY ACTION!

Funkpocalypse
Another poster for an upcoming local show featuring more eye-gouging color choices. If it's too loud, you're too old. Or something. Anyway, Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!

Head Shrinkin' Fun
New poster for an upcoming hardcore/metal show in my hometown. This is the last and most elaborate in a trilogy of posters I did for the band Everyone's Fired, and features some recurring characters from the first two, which you can find somewhere in the archives of this blog if you care to look. I went for a pretty jarring color scheme on this one, which should maybe come with its own stomach distress bag. Great art touches you inside, if ya know what I mean. Stay tuned for MORE REANIMATED, REGURGITATED ACTION!

Buzzard Barf
Here's a new illustration for my Aussie surf/garage/punk pals the Molting Vultures. I designed this vulture character for 'em a few years back and had to relearn how to draw him to do this piece, but I reckon it turned out okay. Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!

Go Mental
Here's my contribution to a cool upcoming zine called Catchphrase, the theme of which is artistic interpretations of famous TV catchphrases. This was a cool chance to pay a bit of homage to one of my all-time favorite shows and should be a really fun zine overall. Stay tuned for MORE BANG-ZOOM, TO THE MOON ACTION!

Slothmania!
Here's my sleeve art for the upcoming debut album by the Sloths. These guys are legendary for their insane '60s garage classic "Makin' Love" as heard on the Back From The Grave comp series. They've been back together for the past couple years with a mostly-new lineup and are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their original 45 by releasing an all-new album. I was honored to get to do the cover for this and am proud and kind of stupefied to be playing a small role in the decades-long Sloths story. This is coming out in a mid-March on Burger Records and will be released on LP, CD and cassette so check it out and look for them on tour soon in California, Texas and places like that. Oh yeah, they're printing up a poster of this art too so grab one when you see 'em. Stay tuned for MORE PRIMITIVE ACTION!

Vinyl Solution
Here's the latest in a series of posters I've been doing for my friend Mark's record shows out in Calgary. Time to sell a few internal organs on Ebay and invest the profits in vinyl! Stay tuned for MORE MICROGROOVE ACTION!

Mondo Rondo
Just finished this sexy T-shirt design for hip Toronto garage combos the Pow Wows, fulfilling a long-time dream of drawing legendary weirdo Rondo Hatton, the acromegliac star of movies like House Of Horrors and The Brute Man. The Pow Wows will be on tour in the next few months so don't miss the chance to add this sharp looking garment to your action wardrobe. Next on my agenda has gotta be drawing the great Angelo Rossito. Any takers out there? Stay tuned for MORE HUMAN ODDITY ACTION!
Crime Does So Pay
Did this sleeve a few months back for the second LP by Swedish crime rock supervillains Skurkarna. It took a nefarious conspiracy of no less than four Spanish labels (including previous purveyors of Merinuk "art" KOTJ Records and Ghost Highway Records) to unleash this longplayer but it'll all be worth it as the sinister instrumental sounds of Skurkarna make you hungry for a life of crime. Stay tuned for MORE WRONG SIDE O'THE LAW ACTION!
